  • How did Zimbabwe get into the hyperinflation it has now?
What was the process taken that allowed Zimbabwe to get into hyperinflation at 131+ million percent? In other words, how did Zimbabwe get to be the way it is?
Answer:The Glorious leader, Robert Mugabe, is to thank for Zimbabwe's problems. He has single handedly forced productive farmers off their lands, because they were white, and giving he land to unproductive members of his tribe. As such, those farms stop producing and the nation had to start importing food, when previously it was exporting food. Since then, the Glorious leader Mugabe decided to have his central bank just print money to buy imported food and to pay for the police and tribe/party members to keep him in power by oppressing the opposition. And like I said, since that costs money and they have none because Mugabe destroyed the countries industry, they just print new money, thus causing hyper inflation, to pay the bills. The day when Mugabe is overthrown, is the day when Zimbabwe gets back on the road to prosperity.
