hi i want to know the sea ports of uzbekistan. i wish to import some commodity or 100 containers per month From tashkent . can anybody help in getting shipping lines and approx quote of 20'.
Answer:There are no sea ports in Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan is one of two countries in the world who needs to pass at least two countries to reach a sea (the other country is Switzerland). Container shipment to Indian ports are done using Turkmenistan and Iran railroads. Containers are transported to Iran's Bandar-Abbas port, and then shipped by sea to Indian ports, like Mumbai, Madras(Chennai) or any other port. This is the cheapest and fastest way. There is another way, which concern Kazakhstan-China railroad route, but it is slow, expensive and unpredictable.
