has anyone ever visited Morocco? I am interested in going there over the summer -- maybe Casablana or Marakesh.....any tips or advice?!?
Answer:i went backpacking in morocco last summer. Dont go on your own, its too dangerous!! and be careful about how much you pay for things, as they will rip you off as much as they can! the market square in marakesh is really nice at night, but you have to pay if you even want to take a photo! be careful if you go to Tangier, we had a guy who offered to show us around, and then demanded we each pay him £10 at the end!! when we first got off the ferry in Tangier, we had a guy follow us around for ages, trying to take us to a hotel he was blatantly getting paid commision from. we tried to say no to him, but it didnt work! the toilets are mostly of the hole in the ground variety!! nice! also, at tangier train station, we asked for train tickets to marrakesh for the next evening, but they gave them to us for that evening, and refused to give us a refund! they also cost us alot more fron tangier to marrakesh than from marrakesh to tangier!! personally i couldnt wait to leave the place, but good luck!! actually one good thing i did do there, was go on a sahara desert trip! that was great fun actually, we got to ride a camel and camp on the desert. but again all the locals tried to rip us off when we wanted to buy things. i once got told a can of coke was the equivalent of 60p which is more expensive than England!
I'm planning on going to grad school abroad but so far I'm stuck between turkey, morocco, and tunisia. I was wondering in morocco if I go to grad school how acceptable is it for a canadian guy to date a moroccan girl? Im planning on going to school in either Casablanca or Rabat.
Answer:It depends. Are you Muslim? If you are, there shouldn't be many problems at all with meeting Moroccan women. If you are not, you may have a harder time with it, as Muslim women are not supposed to marry non-Muslim men. Muslim women who follow their religion closely don't date either.
I am Morrocan and i am planning to move back there soon. I have spent most my life outside Morroco but i love Morocco. I am wondering if is easier to get women in Morocco when you are rich. What part of Morroco do you recommend me to go in order to find good looking Moroccan women (big booti ones specially)? I am good looking and good at talking to women too, apart from these tools i wonder if having money will make everything easier.
Answer:its easier to get ANY women anywhere in the world when you are rich! LOL But beware any women in the world may only use you for $$$ and leave you when you are broke. same for men They will like women when they are young and beautiful then leave them when they become old and wrinkly
I am planning to go to Morocco in April and I am an Indian studying in Paris. I have my carte de sejour but what all other documents do I require to apply for the visa. I went to the Morocco Consulate in South of Paris but they told me to go to Pontoise and gave me the telephone number and email. I tried contacting them , but they are not replying them or picking up the phone. Pontoise is quite far from Versailles where I live, so please give advices or suggestions or own experiences. It would be quite helpful... Thanks
Answer:Hi, I can understand you as my country's civil servants have the reputation to be very "efficient" :) If you want a visa to go to Morocco, first, make sure you need one ;) Most of the countries don't need visas for Morocco if they are just coming for less than three months :) Well, seemingly you need one... I don't understand this stupid visa system, especially in a country like Morocco but well... You know, even Moroccans have to fill a form explaining why they come back to their country when they get to an airport : security measure... Foolish! But anyway ^^ http://www.amb-maroc.fr/BienvenueMaroc/voyager_au_maroc.htm This link will help you a bit :) Je suppose que tu parles français, donc tu n'auras pas de problèmes pour comprendre ce qu'il y a de marqué ;) If you need any further help, just email me (you can send me a message from my profile).
I am traveling to Morocco for 2 weeks and then taking a 2 week vacation to Turkey and then returning to Morocco for another 2 weeks. Does anyone know if I require any special visa or re entry paperwork to leave Morocco and go to another country and then return to Morocco? I am a bit worried that Morocco immigration may not let me re enter Morocco as it isn't my country of origin? Thanks for your help.
Answer:This is information regarding each country from the Canadian Foreign Affairs Ministry's website: About Morocco: ----------------------- A valid Canadian passport is required for Canadians intending to visit Morocco. The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of your expected departure from the country. Tourist Visa: Not required (for stays of less than 90 days) Business Visa: Not required (for stays of less than 90 days) Student Visa: Not required (for stays of less than 90 days) If you plan to extend your stay in Morocco beyond 90 days, contact the local police station, Service to Foreigners Section, at least 15 days prior to the expiry of the three-month limit, in order to secure proper authorization. About Turkey: -------------------- A valid Canadian passport is required for Canadians intending to visit Turkey. The passport must be valid for at least six months following the issuance of the visa. Whatever the purpose of their stay (work, tourism, business, studies), Canadians should be in possession of a visa obtained at the nearest Turkish embassy or consulate or upon arrival at any Turkish point of entry. Those overstaying the duration of their visa should expect to pay substantial fines. See link below for more info: http://www.voyage.gc.ca/preparation_information/tourist-visas-tourisme-eng.asp It looks like morocco is not an issue, however you need to check with the nearest Turkish Consulate in Canada prior to your departure or the Turkish Consulate once you are in Morocco regarding how you can apply for a visa or whether you will be automatically issued a visa stamp at the Turkish port of entry. As far as re-entering Morocco is concerned, you shouldn't have an issue. It would be considered just like your initial entry.
