"Israel is the criterion according to which all Jews will tend to be judged. Israel as a Jewish state is an example of the Jewish character, which finds free and concentrated expression within it. Anti-Semitism has deep and historical roots. "Nevertheless, any flaw in Israeli conduct, which initially is cited as anti-Israelism, is likely to be transformed into empirical proof of the validity of anti-Semitism. It would be a tragic irony if the Jewish state, which was intended to solve the problem of anti-Semitism, was to become a factor in the rise of anti-Semitism. Israelis must be aware that the price of their misconduct is paid not only by them but also Jews throughout the world." -- Yehoshafat Harkabi, Israel’s longest serving Director of Military Intelligence in his book Israel's Fateful Hour, 1986 How true is this statement?
Answer:Israel needs not just a good PR set-up, but an outstanding one, head and shoulders above all the anti-Israel sources. It must be both national and international in origin and participation. The facts must saturate the minds of anti-Semites and their audience. It is only through generations of education and 'brain clarification' that the twisting of facts and language can be overcome.
israel is the land of prophets.....why pakistan does not recognise isarel as a state......while many arab countries have very good relations with israel, there is no reason that pakistan should not recognise as an independent state,,,should pakistan recognise israel.....??????????
Answer:Because they never fought and, consequently, lost a war to it? ;-) Honestly, the only two Arab countries that have full diplomatic relations with Israel are Egypt and Jordan, both which have repeatedly tried and failed to destroy Israel. Egypt finally agreed to peace under American pressure and in order to get back the territories lost in wars. Fellow Arabs did not like it and banned it from the Arab League for almost two decades. The peace with Jordan is a by-product of the Oslo "peace process". But the relations are not friendly, actually the relations between Egypt and Israel closely resemble the Cold War. No other Arab country recognizes Israel, but some have low-level economic ties. Considering this, why should Pakistan recognize Israel and make enemies in the Arab world? Besides, the Pakistani regime is a very shaky one, under constant pressure from the Islamists and already much criticized because of being (or playing) American ally in the War on Terror. I guess President Musharraf cannot afford alienating more Muslims, inside and outside Pakistan.
A peaceful democracy is a country that works within the frame of the United Nations, and respect other countries. But Israel keep always ignore UN resolutions. It does not listen to anyone. That doesn't make it a peaceful democracy. It makes it an outlaw dictatorship, a breaker of international law, and a threat to world peace. Are you aware of the number of UN resolutions ignored by Israel? Are you aware of the Israeli war crimes recorded by Human Rights Watch? *Israel always ignores
Answer:How do you get the world to hate Israel? You have the United Nations set up an agency whose sole function it is to make sure that this one group of refugees in the whole world are coddled, advocated for, and repeat, mantra-like, that a human “right of return” has been sanctified and assured by international law for the Palestinians, giving only this group of refugees a collective, as opposed to individual, right of return—and not only to those refugees who supposedly lived in and left what is now Israel, but all of their descendents, as well. You use the General Assembly and the Human Rights Council of the United Nations to further demonize and delegitimate Israel, making it a pariah in the world community and issuing an edict that equates Zionism with racism. In 2006-07, if you are the Human Rights Council, you pass one hundred percent of your condemnatory resolutions against Israel. If you are the autocratic, despotic states of the Arab world, you initiate a prolonged, unceasing propaganda war against Israel and Zionism, in which it is your intention to encourage your citizens, not to question why they live under tyranny and despair under their own corrupt, defective governments, but that their circumstances are bleak because of the success and very existence of Israel. You depict Jews as apes, pigs, and subhuman monsters, and regularly produce Nazi-like propaganda and cartoons in your state-owned media that accuses Jews and Israelis of blood libels, bloodthirstiness, militarism, a desire for world domination, imperialism, and complicity with the U.S.
Anyone else think the same thing? I've always been sympathetic to Israel, but no longer since it's become so destructive to American interests. And yes it's a political question, but it's relevant since it's in the cradle of Western religion.
Answer:You have it wrong, and it's good that you asked. Permit me to state the facts. Former President George W. Bush, in a letter to former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in 2004, wrote, "In light of new realities on the ground, including already existing major Israeli populations centers, it is unrealistic to expect that the outcome of final status negotiations will be a full and complete return to the armistice lines of 1949, and all previous efforts to negotiate a two-state solution have reached the same conclusion.” Secretary Clinton’s blunt dismissal of the “informal” promise places more than 100,000 residents of Maaleh Adumim, Ariel, Betar Illit and Gush Etzion on the list for future expulsions to make way for a Palestinian Authority state. The State Department previously had dodged taking a stand on whether the Obama administration would honor the promise. "There is no memorialization of any informal and oral agreements. If they did occur, which of course people say they did, they did not become part of the official position of the United States government," Clinton said at a news conference with the Turkish Foreign Minister. She repeated a claim that the Roadmap requires Israel to surrender all of Judea, Samaria and Gaza, although the document only calls for the future borders of Israel and a new PA state to be negotiated. President Bush wrote his letter after Sharon proposed the “Disengagement" plan to expel nearly 10,000 Jews from Gush Katif and parts of northern Samaria and turn the Gaza communities over to the PA, which was taken over by Hamas in the area following implementation of the plan. The letter also states, “I remain committed to my June 24, 2002 vision of two states living side by side in peace and security as the key to peace, and to the road map as the route to get there…. Under the road map, Palestinians must undertake an immediate cessation of armed activity and all acts of violence against Israelis anywhere, and all official Palestinian institutions must end incitement against Israel…. “Your government has stated that the barrier being erected by Israel should be a security rather than political barrier, should be temporary rather than permanent, and therefore not prejudice any final status issues including final borders, and its route should take into account, consistent with security needs, its impact on Palestinians not engaged in terrorist activities.” .
In the summer of 2005, the Israel government unilaterally pulled the Israel Defence Forces out of Gaza and uprooted all of Israel's settlements in the area, leaving the territory completely in Palestinian hands. The Israeli leadership hoped that this would result in the cessation of terrorism from the area. But the opposite occurred! The number and variety of rockets hitting Israel increased. So would you recommend that the Israelis turn more strategic territory over to the Arabs in the hope that this time the opposite will occur? Albert Einstein said the the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over again and expecting different results. Now the Israel government spoke specifically of cutting off electricity to Gaza's inhabitants if more Kassam rockets were launched from the Hamas-controlled territory, and of a possible fuel cutoff down the road. Smoke ON just proves the thesis. No matter how much you give to the Arabs, they just want more. They won't be satisfied until the have all of Israel and the Jews are thrown into the sea. Until then, they will just cry and claim that the Jews haven't given them a thing. So sad; you could laugh if you weren't crying.
Answer:1) By separating Jews from Arabs altogether 2) By retaliating with overwhelming force 3) By throwing away political correctness, by not negotiating with murderers, and by acting ONLY in the interest of Israel, and Israel alone.
