Answer:Honduras has beautiful beaches and I've been to la ceiba and the beaches are nice and warm. Get plenty of sunblock because it will be hot even when you go in winter. If you are going to la ceiba try to get a boat to "Roatan" which is a couple of miles off shore. Roatan is really, really, really beautiful. There is a lot of North Americans who have retire there. They speak mostly English in that little island. I'm pretty sure you will love it. Enjoy your trip!!! www.JerryLarach.com

  • What happened in Honduras in the end is good or bad for democracy?
What do you think about what happened recently in Honduras. The president was removed because he wanted to change the constitution to have relections, but the army, acting on what's written in the actual Honduras constitituion, exiled him. Many people around the world are calling this a coup, but is it really a coup, or just the powers of the country defending it's cosntitution?
Answer:The elected president was using the Constitutionally-derived provisions to suggest suggest a change. As he was working within the breadth of their own Constitution, there was little reason to simply assume military control over an elected official

  • How long does it take for mail to get to Honduras from the United States?
I mailed a letter to a friend in Honduras nearly two months ago, and I haven't got a response back from her yet. Does anyone know how long it takes for letters to get back and forth from the United States to Honduras? I'm aware that large envelopes and packages can be taken by the curious postal workers, but this was simply a standard sized envelope with only a letter inside. I realize that it takes a while but I'm wondering if anyone knows specifically how long it takes because I've been getting really anxious to receive this letter the last week or so. If anyone could help me out I'd greatly appreciate it!
Answer:I think it can take up to 4 weeks each direction. I was visiting Honduras recently and we sent some postcards to friends back here in the States and they still haven't received them. That was about 4 weeks ago. If you still haven't received anything in one more month or so, try sending another letter. Good luck!
